Pocházím z německé rodiny v Brazílii, kde jsem vyrostla s dvěma jazyky a kulturami. Vystudovala jsem němčinu a angličtinu na Universidade de São Paulo a poté jsem absolvovala magisterská studia na University of Texas at Austin v oborech Germanistika a Didaktika cizích jazyků. Od roku 1997 žiji v Praze a neustále pracuji s němčinou: jako lektorka, metodička a examinátorka mezinárodních zkoušek Goethe-Institutu. Učit němčinu pro mě není jen povolání, ale i poslání. Každá jazyková úroveň má své kouzlo a mám velkou radost, když mohu přesvědčit své studenty, že němčina muže být zábavná.
I was born to a German family in Brazil and brought up with two languages and cultures. I have a bachelor’s degree in German and English from the University of São Paulo and master’s degrees in German Studies and in Foreign Language Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Since 1997 I have been living in Prague, always working with German: as a teacher, as a teacher trainer and as an examiner for the international certificates of the Goethe Institute. Teaching German is not only my profession but also a calling. Every language level has its charm and it gives me great pleasure to see my students having fun learning German!
